Walk & Talk To End Social Isolation 2020

September 14 @ 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Join us virtually for Beyond the Conversation’s third annual Walk & Talk to End Social Isolation!

About this Event

Beyond The Conversation is hosting its third annual Walk & Talk to End Social Isolation! Due to current physical distancing restrictions, we will be unable to physically gather, but we will be hosting a virtual walkathon and celebration on September 19th.

Most, if not all individuals experience loneliness and social isolation at some time in their life. This event aims to raise awareness on the hidden issue of loneliness and empower one another through hearing stories about social isolation from our community. You are not alone in this fight; together, let’s unite to end social isolation through building community.

Event Details:

The walkathon portion will be from September 14th-18th. Participants can choose one day out of the week to walk. Our recommended walking distance is 5km – 10km. On September 19th, we will have an online celebration from 1pm to 2:30pm. Incredible speakers have been invited to share stories of their experience with social isolation.
